In addition to my professional work speaking and writing on engineering topics, I’m a painter and photographer.
Painting
My recent painting work is all abstract, focused on evoking specific moods. As as artist I’m heavily process-driven, and a lot of my work plays with e.g. the interaction between color fields and texture. You can see some representative pieces here:
Photography
I do mostly nature and urban photography. I’m particularly interested in places where the overlap of human life and nature can be seen — often in abandoned spaces, in urban pockets of nature, or in liminal spaces. My public photos can be found at my Flickr photostream here.
